The World Food India Festival, set to run from September 19-22, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, will highlight global food processing innovations. The event aims to boost farmer income, state revenue, and job opportunities while promoting Indian food products internationally.
According to Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan, the food processing sector holds immense potential for boosting farmers’ income, generating state revenue, and creating job opportunities for the youth. The event is scheduled for next month, starting on September 19. This is an important opportunity to bring together all stakeholders and industries related to food processing on one platform, feels Paswan.
The union minister said his ministry’s schemes are helping in the creation of self-employment opportunities, especially in rural areas. He pointed out that the Ministry is actively promoting Indian food products globally.
