Due to wind confluence at lower tropospheric levels and supporting upper atmospheric features, fairly widespread rain/thundershowers very likely over Northeast India & Sub- Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and isolated to scattered over rest East India during next 24 hours, says the weather reports in its morning bulletin.

Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, hail and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at isolated places also likely over these regions during same period.

Maximum Temperatures are likely to remain between 41-44°C over some parts of Madhya Maharshtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka during next 2 days and between 43-45°C over Gujarat state during next 24 hours and gradually fall thereafter.

maximum temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over West Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, Assam & Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam while minimum temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Marathwada; at isolated places over Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka.
