Punjab National Bank (PNB) which is India's second largest public sector bank is offering few schemes especially for women. The women who want to start something on their own & earn good money can go for these schemes by PNB. These schemes will assist women and make them financially independent.
PNB Schemes for Women:
PNB Mahila Udyam Nidhi Scheme
Under Mahila Udyam Nidhi Scheme, the women entrepreneurs are assisted to set up new projects in tiny or small scale sectors. Adding to it, PNB offers credit for the rehabilitation of viable sick Small Scale Industrial (SSI) units. Existing tiny & small scale industrial units and service industries undertaking expansion, modernization technology up gradation and diversification may also be considered. Thus, this scheme is designed to meet gap in equity.
PNB Mahila Samridhi Yojna
Under PNB Mahila Samridhi Yojna, four schemes are launched under one scheme. These schemes are for purchase of required infrastructure to set up of the units.
PNB Mahila Sashaktikaran Abhiyan
Under PNB Mahila Sashaktikaran Abhiyan following concessions will be admissible, as per the bank. Its scheme, Trade Related Entrepreneurship Assistance and Development or TREAD - envisages extension of credit by the bank & grant by the Government of India to not-for-profit-organisations for the benefit on lending to women either through SHGs or individually to set up small and micro enterprises in non-farm sector.
Scheme for Financing Creches
This scheme is launched to give support services for women empowerment. It is extended to working women who are in the business of creches with necessary services like basic equipment, stationers, utensils, fridge, growth monitoring equipment, cooler or fan, water filter, etc and for recurring expenditure for one month. Thus, makes cheaper & easier credit available for financing crèches for women.
