Government released guidelines for schools
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education released rules on May 11 for schools to follow regarding food, classroom ventilation, and transportation arrangements to fight the effects of the heatwave.
According to government requirements, schools should commence at 7:00 a.m. and end by noon. "The number of school hours each day could be cut. Sports and other outside activities that expose kids to direct sunlight should be adjusted in the early morning, according to an official statement. It reminded schools to hold school assemblies undercover or in classrooms with a shorter time limit.
School buses must not carry more students than their seating capacity, according to guidelines for transporting children to school. In the bus or van, there should be drinking water and a first-aid kit. Students who walk or ride their bikes to school should be urged to cover their heads, according to the guidelines.
In addition to encouraging students to bring their water bottles, hats, and umbrellas, schools should guarantee that there is enough drinking water available in different locations.
Teachers should remind students to drink water from their water bottles during the day and ensure that they have water in their bottles when they return home.
