The Jharkhand government has approved a proposal to provide free tutoring for NTSE, Olympiads, and CLAT examinations to students in government institutions. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved the school education and literacy department's proposal on March 13, 2022.
The Jharkhand government intends to start working on the scheme's implementation as soon as possible. According to official sources, a total of 100 students would be chosen for special residential coaching of NTSE and Olympiads under this initiative.
A total of 25 students from classes 7, 8, 9, and 10 will be chosen for the two tests. The NTA administers the NTSE, a national-level SHRESHTA scholarship examination. Olympiads are competitions sponsored by private organizations to assess students' knowledge in disciplines such as mathematics, science, English, and computing.
CLAT, the entrance exam for admission to law schools, will select 100 students, 50 from each of classes 11 and 12.

Under this scheme, the government would fund residential coaching for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Olympiads, and the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Since 2016-17, the government has been operating the Aakanksha program. This program offers free tutoring for medical and engineering admission exams to students from government schools. The state government has stated that the Aakanksha program will include free tutoring for the National Defense Academy (NDA) test.

According to a PTI report, 92 students have passed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, 11 have cleared the JEE Advanced, and 64 have passed the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) as part of the Aakanksha program.
