The Industry Association, Crop Care Federation of India (CCFI), has re-elected Deepak P Shah, Chairman, Sulphur Mills Limited as its Chairman and Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, Insecticides (India) Limited along with Natwarlal M Patel, Managing Director, Meghmani Organics Limited as its Vice-Chairpersons during the 60th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in New Delhi.
The newly re-elected board has guaranteed to work closely with the government and industries to address the number of current issues associated with the Indian Agrochemical Industry. Moreover, during the meeting, Rajju Shroff, Chairman Emeritus, UPL Limited, and the CCFI emphasized on how the Make in India policy has facilitated exports and the presence of CCFI members globally.
"We have resolved to serve more vigorously in the interest of the farming community. We will be encouraging the Indian agrochemical industry to cash in on opportunities to grow further by expansion and further strengthen India's position in the global agrochemical market. We will ensure that our exports grow exponentially," said Deepak Shah at the general meeting.
Adding to this, Rajesh Aggarwal opined that Indian manufacturing companies should not only be recognized for their potential to meet global standards but also for their capability to produce goods at half the cost. He said, "We will be the part of government's Make in India initiative thereby moving towards Atmanirbhar Bharat and saving valuable foreign exchange by reducing imports."
