Every year on January 23rd, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, or Subhas Chandra Bose's birthday, is observed to honour this great man for his tenacity as one of India's greatest liberation fighters. Subhas Chandra Bose Birth Place and Education
Subhas Chandra Bose was the ninth child born on January 23, 1897, into a prosperous family in Cuttack, Orissa Division, Bengal Province. His parents were lawyers Janakinath Bose and his mother, Prabhavati Devi. Netaji has always been a nationalistic person; his early years were rife with nationalist discoveries. One such well-known instance from his time in college is the institution where he was expelled for taking part in and carrying out nationalist activities.
Later, he attended Fitzwilliam College at Cambridge University in England to further his education. He then travelled to London, passed the Indian Civil Services Exam with a 4th-place score, and started working. But as soon as he learned of the Indian nationalist movement, he abruptly announced his resignation and left for India. Then he was appointed newspaper editor by Chittranjan Das, and he soon launched his own Swaraj publication. He was chosen to hold the positions of secretary of the Bengal State Congress and president of the All-India Youth Congress in 1923.

In India, people decorate his monument, raise the Indian flag, and hold cultural events in schools and universities to commemorate his birthday. Each year on January 23rd, three states—West Bengal, Tripura, and Orissa—also observe a public holiday in honour of Subhas Chandra Bose. Even though the event is held all across the nation, people tend to go to a few special locations on his birthday.
The Subhas Chandra Bose shrine-like Netaji Museum is located at Giddapahar, Kurseong. His brother Sarat Chandra Bose, a lawyer and liberation fighter, is the owner of the museum. Because Netaji lived here for seven years, this house is very special. It is also claimed that this is where he wrote his well-known Haripura sessions address. As a Netaji Museum and a study center for Himalayan languages, culture, and society, the location was reopened by the Netaji Institute of Asian Studies.
The Netaji Bhawan in Kolkata is another location on the list of such places. Previously, Netaji resided here before fleeing Kolkata in secret to Germany and eventually Japan. The home serves as a library, museum, and location archive for Netaji today and is managed by the Netaji Research Bureau. The Wanderer automobile, which Hitler used to evade his home arrest in 1941, is also seen here.
The first tricolor flag of a free India was flown for the first time in Indian history at the INA Museum in Morang by Netaji. The accomplishments and contributions of Bose to the creation of the INA are on display in this museum. Also beside the museum is a huge statue of Bose. This location is noteworthy because, after taking over the INA, which Captain Mohan Singh had created, Bose organized thousands of people to fight for the independence of their homeland.
The Swatantra Sainani Museum is devoted to INA heroes who were put on trial by INA and is housed within the RedFort complex in Delhi.
