Biostadt India Limited has launched its latest innovation, ‘Pyankor’, a next-generation herbicide developed to deliver effective post-emergent weed control for paddy farmers. The official launch was held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in the presence of Biostadt’s senior leadership, key channel partners, and international collaborators from LG Chem Life Sciences, South Korea.
Pyankor features Pyribenzoxim 5% EC as its active ingredient and is specially formulated to combat a wide range of weeds, including grasses, sedges, and broad-leaf species.
Designed for fast action, the herbicide is absorbed into the weed surface within just 30 minutes of application. Weed growth halts within 24 hours, visible yellowing occurs within 3 to 5 days, and full control is typically achieved in 7 to 14 days.
One of Pyankor’s key advantages is its rainfastness, which ensures that the herbicide remains effective even during rainfall. This is made possible by a premium-quality adjuvant that enables uniform spreading on weed surfaces and prevents the solution from being washed away.
The recommended application rate is 240 ml per acre, offering farmers an efficient and economical weed management solution for paddy cultivation.
