As we all know that Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26th January in India. The day marks the sovereignty of the nation, as on this day in 1950, the Constitution of India was adopted. The main celebration of this day is the Republic Day Parade, which is held in the capital city, New Delhi every year.
And as the Republic Day is about to come, many of you may be excited to see it live but don’t know from where to get the tickets? Here is the complete information from where and how you can get the parade tickets.
There are many ways to get tickets for the Republic Day parade. If you want to see the parade from front row, then you can get the passes from senior government officials and VIPs in Delhi, if you know anyone of them. Or else, you will have to purchase the tickets.
Tickets for Republic Day Parade are generally available from 7th to 25th January at the Departmental Sales Counters in the following locations.

The ticket counters will be open daily at:

10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Additionally, the ticket counters at Shastri Bhavan, Jantar Mantar, Jamnagar House and Sena Bhavan will be open till 7 p.m. from 23rd to 25th January 2019.
It must be noted that due to the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade on 23rd January, all ticket counters will be closed in the morning hours.
Beating Retreat Ceremony:
Beating Retreat ceremony is held at Vijay Chowk on Rajpath on 29th January afternoon each year. It is held three after the Republic Day celebration. It represents retreat after a day on the battleground and includes performances by bands of the 3 wings of the Indian military i.e. the Army, Navy and Air Force.

It must be noted that reserved seats are closer to the main stage where all the programmes or parade takes place. Unreserved seats are provided on the first-come-first basis.
