Internationally renowned wrestler and actor Saurav Gurjar, known for his roles as WWE’s “Sanga” and ‘Bheem’ in the television series Mahabharat, visited Maa Danteshwari Herbal Farm in Kondagaon, Bastar, on October 6, along with his team.
Gurjar shared that he has been living in the USA for several years and had planned to visit the farm five years ago but couldn’t make it due to prior commitments. This time, however, he decided to drive 17 hours straight from Delhi to Bastar just to meet Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, the visionary who left a secure government job to turn farming into a global movement. “I’ve never seen such a natural farm anywhere in the world,” said Saurav Gurjar.
After touring the farm, Gurjar told the media,“I’ve seen dozens of organic and herbal farms across the world, but never anything like this. What I saw here is not just farming, it’s nature in its purest form, working in harmony with people.”
He added that he had often watched videos of this farm on social media and used to wonder if such a place could really exist.
“But when I came here, the reality was even more amazing,” he said. Gurjar also announced that he would collaborate with Maa Danteshwari Herbal Group to establish a Natural Greenhouse and herbal cultivation project on his ancestral land near Gwalior and encourage nearby farmers to adopt the model.
“This is the farming of the future,” he remarked. “It’s climate-resilient, eco-friendly, and empowers farmers to be self-reliant.”
Mesmerized by Bastar’s Herbal Tea
Tasting MD Botanicals’ Herbal Tea, made from wild and organically grown herbs collected by tribal farmers, Gurjar said,“I’ve had many herbal teas across the world, healthy perhaps, but never truly flavourful. This is the first herbal tea that’s both health-giving and delicious—aromatic, balanced, and refreshing.”
Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, the pioneer of India’s organic and herbal economy, presented Gurjar with a gift pack containing MD Botanicals’ premium herbal tea and honey, crafted from the medicinal blossoms of Bastar’s forests.

Maa Danteshwari Herbal Farm: The Hub of Natural Innovation
Established in 1996 by Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, Maa Danteshwari Herbal Farm holds the distinction of being India’s first certified organic herbal farm. Over the years, it has evolved into a hub of groundbreaking agricultural innovations:
-
Natural Greenhouse Model: A green, tree-based alternative to plastic polyhouses, 95% cheaper (Rs 2 lakh per acre) and completely eco-friendly.
-
New Black Pepper Variety: A high-yielding strain that produces four times more output than conventional Indian varieties, acclaimed for its superior quality.
-
Tribal Participation: Hundreds of tribal families actively participate in cultivation, ensuring sustainable livelihoods and community empowerment.
-
New Initiative: Development of a high-yield Stevia variety (a natural sugar-free plant) in collaboration with Government of India agencies.
Honour and Inspiration
In a felicitation ceremony, Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, along with Anurag Kumar, Jasmati Netam, Shankar Nag, Madhuri Dewangan, and Rishiraj, honoured Saurav Gurjar with a shawl and memento.
The gathering described his visit as “a proud moment for Bastar,” symbolizing the union of strength and soil, muscle and mother earth.

In Conclusion
When a champion wrestler drives 17 hours across the country, not for a fight, but to understand the power of farming and nature, it’s not just a journey, it’s a message:
India’s true strength lies in its soil, biodiversity, and the healing touch of its farmers.
