Sandeep Singh, Haryana's Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, said the state government has launched the 'Khel Nursery Scheme 2022-23' to promote sports in the state. Under the scheme, sports nurseries will be established in government, private educational institutions, and private sports institutions, and applications are being accepted until January 20, 2022.
Haryana's athletes, according to the Minister, have given the state a new identity at the world level through their sporting prowess. The state government is constantly working to foster the development of fresh athletic talent in the state.
The Haryana government, he said, is reaching out to young people who can bring medals. In the state, sports-related resources are being expanded.
He stated that the 'Khel Nursery Scheme 2022-23' has been launched to build sports nurseries in government, private educational institutions, and private sports institutes in order to develop sports in the state.
He claimed that under the government's plan, athletic talents would get a chance to shine at the grassroots level. Sports nurseries are being established under the aforementioned programme for sports featured in the Olympic, Asian, and Commonwealth Games. He stated that interested organisations should submit an application to the District Sports and Youth Program Officer by January 20, 2022.
