On January 27, 2025, Zydex Group, a specialized chemicals company dedicated to sustainability, and Krishi Jagran, a pioneering agricultural media house, signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Krishi Jagran’s head office in New Delhi. The MoU was signed by Dr. Ajay Ranka, Chairman and Managing Director of Zydex Group, and MC Dominic, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran and Agriculture World. The collaboration aims to drive a nationwide transformation towards organic agriculture under the ambitious initiative of ‘Bharat Ka Jaivik Jagran’ (India’s Organic Transformation).
The 'Bharat Ka Jaivik Jagran' initiative refers to a movement aimed at adopting organic practices to promote sustainable agriculture and environmental health, with the goal of making Indian agriculture fully organic by 2047. The organic transformation of Indian agriculture is crucial for enhancing soil fertility, and ensuring the long-term health of both farmers and the ecosystem.
Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, Dr. Ajay Ranka expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. He called it a historic step toward promoting organic agriculture across the country. “India has the ideal climate, technology, and a dynamic young workforce to make organic farming a reality. Everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious food, and it should be recognized as a constitutional right. Dr. Ranka envisions India as the food bowl of the world, providing nutritious food not just to India but to the entire world. This should be our shared goal.”
Dr. Ranka further emphasized the need to restore soil fertility to its original richness, akin to the 1960s, using natural and effective methods. He coined the concept of the 'Sanjeevani Way,' which promises to rejuvenate soil fertility within a short span of time, typically a month. This innovative approach not only boosts soil health but also significantly enhances germination rates and plant survival, making the transition profitable in the first crop cycle itself thereby the chemical to organic transition profitable from the first crop cycle itself. Dr. Ranka has also recoined the slogan to “Jai Jawan Jai Jaivik Kisan” symbolising the commitment of the new generation of Jaivik farmers for feeding nutritious & safe food to all.
MC Dominic highlighted Krishi Jagran’s commitment to empowering farmers through initiatives like Farmer First, Farmer the Brand, MFOI Awards, Star Farmer Speakers, and the Global Farmers Business Network. He also shared the vision of “MIONP”—Make India Organic, Natural, and Profitable by 2047. He stated, “With this MoU, we are taking a significant step towards realizing our vision of revolutionizing organic farming across the country. We appreciate Dr. Ranka’s commitment, passion, and promise to drive the organic transformation in India.”
