Y.P. Singh, President of the Indian Nurserymen Association (INA), has been a guiding force in building a trusted network for nursery businesses across the country.

Kamla Gram Vikas Sansthan organized a seminar on “Linguistic Democracy and Indian Teaching Tradition” at the Constitutional Club on September 5, 2025, where environmentalist Y.P. Singh was honoured for his exceptional contribution to environmental conservation. The recognition celebrated his tireless efforts and lifelong dedication to protecting nature, laying the foundation for a nationwide green movement.

Singh, who currently serves as President of the Indian Nurserymen Association (INA), received the award in the presence of dignitaries including MP Kalicharan, Padma Bhushan awardee Ram Bahadur Rai, Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat, and Dr. Sanjay Rai from AIIMS New Delhi.

The seminar not only provided a platform to discuss issues related to linguistic democracy and traditional Indian education but also became an occasion to honor those who have silently nurtured the nation’s ecological roots. Under Singh’s leadership, the Indian Nurserymen Association has grown into a nationally recognized organization.

Established nearly 38 years ago, INA has long been a trusted network for nursery businesses across the country. Since Singh assumed leadership in 2018, the association has expanded its reach to every state, bringing together members from small rural nurseries to large urban plantation centers under a shared vision of sustainability and environmental protection.

Through his initiatives, Singh has inspired thousands to actively participate in environmental conservation, transforming INA into not just a professional body but a collective family committed to green growth. His recognition at the event underscored the importance of grassroots efforts and the often-unseen contributions of those who work daily with soil and plants to secure a sustainable future.

Kamla Gram Vikas Sansthan emphasized that true development is only possible when society strengthens its roots, with the environment being the most vital of them. The day marked not only an honour for Y.P. Singh but also a tribute to millions of unseen hands working silently to ensure India’s tomorrow remains green and secure.
