Finland- World's Happiest Country
Finland leads the rating for the sixth year in a running, with a score of 7.8, while other Norwegian countries such as Denmark and Iceland are ranked second and third, respectively. Other countries in the top ten include Israel, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and New Zealand.
The countries are ranked based on their healthy life expectancy, GDP per capita, social support, low corruption, generosity in a community where people watch out for one another, and freedom to make important life decisions.
According to the research, Taliban-ruled Afghanistan is the least-happiest of the 137 countries. Lebanon, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and other countries towards the bottom of the list are also included. According to the research, these countries have significant levels of corruption and poor life expectancy.
India's Rank in World Happiness Report
Although India's ranking has risen from 136 to 125, the country still scores lower than its neighbours such as Nepal, China, and Bangladesh. Despite having the world's fastest-growing economy, India has repeatedly rated low in the index, and some have even questioned how It can rank lower than countries in crisis.
Russia & Ukraine have been at odds for almost a year, but when it comes to happiness, both countries score higher than India, with Russia ranking 70th and Ukraine ranking 92nd. According to the research, both countries' generosity increased between 2020 and 2021. Benevolence increased considerably in Ukraine but declined in Russia in 2022.
