Delhi Weather:
New Delhi witnessed a sudden change in the weather yesterday (25 June) afternoon. Several parts of the national capital witnessed a spell of light rainfall along with gusty wind, providing relief from the scorching heat.
IMD said thunderstorm with light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds having speed of 40-70 km per hour over and surrounding regions of entire Delhi and its adjoining areas. There is also a possibility of very light rain in the city on Saturday, the MeT department said in a statement.
"Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 40-70 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of entire Delhi & NCR ( Badurgarh, Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh) Gannaur, Sonipat, Gohana, Kharkhoda, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Kosali, Charkhi Dadri, Mattanhail, Farukhnagar, Bawal, Jhajjar, Narnaul, Mahendargarh, Rewari, Nuh, Hodal, Aurangabad (Haryana) Bagpat, Baraut, Barsana, Nandgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Loni Dehat, (UP), Rajgarh, Laxmangarh, Nadbai, Nagaur, Alwar, Tizara, Deeg (Rajasthan) during next 2 hours," IMD said in a tweet.
Weather Systems across India:
Scattered light to moderate rainfall with few heavy spells likely to occur over eastern Uttar Pradesh, Parts of Bihar, east and South Madhya Pradesh, part of Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, and northeast India in the next 24 hours.
Scattered light to moderate rainfall predicted over coastal Karnataka, southeast Rajasthan, south Gujarat, parts of Kerala, interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Moreover, light to moderate rainfall with one or two intense spells are expected over west Bengal, Chhattisgarh, parts of Odisha, Marathawada, and parts of Telangana.
Light rain with one or two moderate spells likely to occur over Western Himalayas.
Very light rainfall with dust storm may occur over parts of Punjab, Haryana, northwest and northeast Rajasthan, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh.
