Under the influence of a fresh Western Disturbance, several parts of north India are going to be affected by rainfall, the India Meteorological Department said in a release. With summer on the edge, a temperature rise is also expected across the country.
Light rainfall and snowfall are likely over the western Himalayan Region till Sunday. Additionally, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms & lightning is likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and neighboring areas on Monday.
The weather department has predicted minimal temperature changes over northwest and central India for the next two days, followed by a slight rise thereafter. However, no significant changes in minimum temperatures are expected over the rest of the country during the next five days.
Moreover, a cyclonic circulation over south Telangana and another over south Chhattisgarh, along with a strengthening anti-cyclone over the Bay of Bengal, are expected to result in isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall over West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and hailstorm activity at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand on Monday
Over the past 24 hours, the weather across east, northeast, and northwest India has been diverse and eventful. Hailstorms were recorded at isolated places in Jharkhand and West Madhya Pradesh, while heavy rainfall was observed at isolated places in Assam and Tripura.
Under the influence of a western disturbance, light to moderate rainfall affected many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu.
