States like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya are expected to bear the brunt of heavy precipitation, with isolated instances of very heavy falls. Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar are also in line for scattered showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over the coming days.

As weather systems clash overhead, temperature extremes are gripping different parts of India. Maximum temperatures soared to unprecedented levels yesterday, reaching as high as 43°C in certain regions. Today, minimum temperatures are above normal in several areas, signaling warm nights ahead. IMD forecasts a slight dip in maximum temperatures across Northwest India in the coming days, followed by a gradual rise. Conversely, Central, East, and South India are expected to experience an uptick in maximum temperatures, with little change predicted for Maharashtra.
