The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on 7th August 2021 said that thunderstorm along with light to moderate intensity rains is likely to occur over isolated places in Delhi, Gulothi, Billari, Bulandshahar, Khekra, Milak, Bagpat, Chandausi & the adjoining areas in the next few hours.
The Met Department also said that the Air Quality Index in Delhi NCR region will remain in satisfactory to moderate category on 7th August 2021 (Saturday) & 8th August 2021 (Sunday). Meanwhile, Delhi on Friday recorded minimum temperature of 26.7 degree Celsius, normal for this time of the year & the level of humidity level oscillated between 88% & 55%.
Orange & Yellow Alert in Central India
The India Meteorological Department has issued orange & yellow alerts for 17 districts of flood-hit at Madhya Pradesh, accompanied with the warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The orange alert that warns against heavy to very heavy rains at the isolated places has been issued till Saturday morning. The five districts that will be in danger are – Raisen, Vidisha, Guna, Rajgarh & Ashok Nagar.
On the other hand, the yellow alert forecasting the warning of heavy rainfall at the isolated places has been issued for twelve districts including Shajapur, Sehore, Neemuch, Agar-Malwa, Datia, Sheopur, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Seoni, Shivpuri & Niwari.
According to the weather department, rain along with thundershowers is likely at most places in districts falling under the nine divisions including state capital Bhopal & Jabalpur. The senior meteorologist of IMD Bhopal PK Saha said that a lower pressure area was lying over the central parts of north Madhya Pradesh & its adjoining regions.
