The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted significant rainfall across various regions of India in the coming days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall, with extremely heavy downpours at isolated locations, is expected in parts of Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh. Similar weather conditions are predicted over the Gujarat region and Chhattisgarh. Additionally, heavy rainfall is likely to affect Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Saurashtra, Kutch, and West Madhya Pradesh.

A cyclonic circulation over southwest Madhya Pradesh is influencing weather patterns in the region. This system is extending up to the middle tropospheric levels, contributing to widespread rainfall. Another cyclonic circulation is located over northeast Assam, also extending up to middle tropospheric levels, bringing rain to the northeastern region.

West India: Widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat for the next three days. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecasted for the Gujarat region, Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra on September 27, with isolated heavy rain likely in the same areas on September 28.

East and Northeast India: Rainfall will continue across East and Northeast India over the next few days, with widespread light to moderate rain. Extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar on September 27. Other areas, including Jharkhand, Odisha, and Arunachal Pradesh, will also experience isolated heavy rainfall. The northeastern states, such as Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur, will see rain during the end of September and early October.

Central India: Moderate rainfall will persist in Central India over the next three days, with isolated heavy downpours predicted over West Madhya Pradesh on September 27 and 28. East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh will also experience isolated heavy rainfall.

Northwest India: East Uttar Pradesh will witness widespread rainfall for the next few days, with extremely heavy rain on September 27. Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and parts of Jammu and Kashmir will also see isolated heavy rainfall during this period.

South Peninsular India: Light to moderate rainfall is expected across South India. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and surrounding areas are likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall from September 27 to October 2.

Given the current weather conditions, residents in the affected areas are urged to remain vigilant and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
