The movement of the weather system towards east had brought a sigh of relief for people residing in the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand with  slowdown of snowfall and rain. The weather has now improved for the last 48 hours too, but this break is momentary as a fresh Western Disturbance is approaching Western Himalayas by the night of January 11.

It is expected that scattered rain and thundershower will  begin in Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh from the late night of January 11. These hilly stations might also expect snowfall by January 12 as the Western Himalayas are will start receiving snowfall.

Those who are planning to chilling in the snow might find this a great time to plan a vacation in these areas but taking necessary precaution should be taken keeping in mind the harsh weather. Similar activities might continue till morning of January 14. While not only the hills will be affected by the fresh western disturbance, Northern Plains might receive the remainder in the form of rain and thundershower activities.

HILLSTATION

That's not it from the western disturbance. After a short break of a few days, the Northern Himalayas will be facing yet another Western Disturbance around January 15 and 16. And this time the intensity of the rain and snowfall activities will increase, making the situation difficult for the local residents. The residents of North India, especially hailing from Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will have to gear up for the constantly fluctuating weather as dry wind in the regions is likely to make weather a little bearable for the people. So, warm clothes and bone fire might help in saving the day for the people in these areas.
