Agromet Advisories
Farmers are advised to stay alert and take timely precautions to protect their crops, vegetables, orchards, and livestock. In regions expecting heavy rain, make proper drainage arrangements in the fields, and in areas prone to hailstorms, use protective covers like hail nets. To guard against heat waves, irrigate crops lightly in the evening and keep harvested produce safely covered.
Providing support to plants and securing livestock with enough feed, clean water, and shaded shelters will help minimize losses during this period of changing weather conditions.
Residents are advised to stay updated with IMD’s regular bulletins, take precautions during thunderstorms, and stay hydrated during heatwave conditions.
