As the southwest monsoon gains momentum, widespread heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue across Northwest, Central, East, and Northeast India over the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also indicated the possibility of isolated extremely heavy showers in regions like Odisha and Gujarat. The monsoon has now advanced into more parts of Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, along with the remaining stretches of the north Arabian Sea.
