The newly formed low-pressure area over the north Bay of Bengal, the remnant of Cyclone WIPHA, is expected to travel west-northwestward, impacting Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and adjoining areas. This system is likely to cause extremely heavy rainfall at isolated locations, especially between July 25 and 28.

South Peninsular India: Karnataka, Andhra Coast, and Telangana Under Heavy Rainfall Threat
Due to strong monsoon flows and offshore troughs, the South Peninsular states will continue to receive intense rainfall. Coastal Karnataka is on red alert for extremely heavy rain, while parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana may also experience very heavy rainfall between July 25.

West India: Konkan, Ghat Areas of Maharashtra, and Gujarat in Focus
A persistent offshore trough along the Maharashtra-Kerala coast is enhancing rainfall over the Konkan coast and ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, with extremely heavy rainfall forecasted on July 25. Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch regions will also see widespread showers, with some areas likely to receive very heavy rainfall.
