Weather Update: IMD Warns of Heavy Rain in Maharashtra, Odisha, Karnataka, Assam, Delhi and Several Other States

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued fresh alerts for widespread rainfall across large parts of the country, as multiple weather systems remain active. A low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Odisha–North Andhra Pradesh coasts, coupled with cyclonic circulations over Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, and the Northeast Arabian Sea, is set to influence weather patterns in the coming days. East & Central India: Wet Spell with Heavy Rainfall Alerts

A low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal is likely to bring sustained rainfall to several eastern and central states. Heavy showers are expected to continue in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, and West Bengal, with very heavy rainfall predicted in some pockets.
