The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted widespread rain, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and heatwave conditions across various parts of the country in the coming days. A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, along with multiple upper air cyclonic circulations, is expected to influence weather patterns in central, eastern, and northern India.
Bay of Bengal System Brings Squally Winds
A low-pressure area over the west-central Bay of Bengal, along with an associated cyclonic circulation extending up to middle tropospheric levels, is expected to gradually weaken over the next 24 hours. However, this system is currently causing squally weather with winds reaching speeds of 35–45 kmph, gusting to 55 kmph.
