The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of changing weather conditions across the country, with rain, snow, thunderstorms, and rising temperatures expected in many regions. From the northern hills to the southern and northeastern states, different weather systems are likely to bring heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and even heat wave conditions in the coming days. Western Disturbances to Bring Rain and Snow in the North

Two active Western Disturbances are influencing weather patterns over northern India. The current system is impacting areas over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and adjoining regions, while a fresh system is expected to approach by the night of March 12.

  • Northwest & Central India: Rise by 2–3°C till March 13, followed by a dip.

  • Gujarat: Rise in the next 3 days, then drop by 2–3°C.
