Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall and Heatwave Alerts Across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Delhi and Other States till June 15

Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and heatwave conditions are forecast across India this week due to multiple weather systems. IMD warns of heavy rain in the south and northeast, while northwestern states continue to face intense heat till mid-June.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an extensive weather pattern for the upcoming week, highlighting several weather systems, such as cyclonic circulations and troughs, that will impact rainfall, thunderstorms, and temperature trends across various regions of the country. The southwest monsoon is expected to remain active over South Peninsular India, resulting in heavy to very heavy rainfall, with isolated instances of extremely heavy downpours anticipated in Karnataka and parts of Konkan and Goa. South Peninsular India: Heavy Rainfall, Gusty Winds and Thunderstorms Likely

Under the influence of a trough from northwest Uttar Pradesh to Telangana and multiple cyclonic circulations in the Bay of Bengal, South India is expected to witness widespread rain and storm activity.
