As per the latest update, multiple weather systems are currently active across the country, bringing a dynamic mix of rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and severe heatwave conditions. While parts of the southern and northeastern states are preparing for heavy rainfall and lightning, several regions in northern and central India are experiencing intense heat, with hot and humid conditions increasing the discomfort.
Cyclonic Systems Brewing Over Bay of Bengal
A Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area lies over the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal. It is expected to move north-northwestward for the next 24 hours, before turning north-northeastward and weakening over the central Bay. Along with this, a trough extends from Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh, while another cyclonic circulation lies over Madhya Maharashtra.
These systems are likely to bring scattered rainfall with thunderstorms to several southern and eastern states.
