Monsoon is actively affecting large parts of India, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy rainfall over the northwest, central, and northeast regions for the next 6 to 7 days, along with significant showers in East India. Extremely heavy rain is expected in East Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and the Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra.
