The Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area over central parts of Madhya Pradesh and associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level persists. Under the influence of the Western Disturbance, scattered to fairly widespread rain/thundershowers are likely to continue over western Himalayan region & adjoining plains of northwest India along with isolated thunderstorm accompanied with gusty wind/squall and hail during next 24 hours. Isolated heavy falls likely over East Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan during next 24 hours, says the Indian Meteorological Department reports in its morning bulletin.
These Regions to Experience Heavy Falls Today
Delhi-NCR along with East Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan are likely to experience Heavy Shower today. Conditions are likely to become favourable for further advancement of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Central Arabian Sea Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Southwest & East-central Bay of Bengal; entire Southeast Bay of Bengal and some parts of West-central Bay of Bengal during next 2 days.
As per yesterday’s report, rain/thundershowers observed at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala & Mahe; at Many places over Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh.
Thunderstorm observed (from 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0530 hours IST of today): at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Coastal Karnataka.
Maximum temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Saurashtra & Kutch and South Interior Karnataka while minimum temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim; at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Lakshadweep.
