The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts and forecasts for various parts of the country, outlining the expected impacts of multiple weather systems in the coming days. The weather agency has predicted a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius for today in New Delhi. The temperatures are likely to stay the same on Thursday.

Eastern and Central India

A cyclonic circulation extending from south interior Karnataka to west Vidarbha and from Jharkhand to south Assam is set to dominate weather patterns in these regions. Consequently, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha till Thursday. Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Vidarbha, and east Madhya Pradesh are also likely to experience scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds today.

Northern and Northeastern India

Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Odisha today. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are also likely to witness scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall till Monday. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall or snowfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh today and on Saturday, over Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya on Saturday.

Southern India

Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam are expected to experience scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning today. Coastal Andhra Pradesh may also see isolated heavy rainfall today.

Western Himalayan Region

Two fresh western disturbances are likely to affect the western Himalayan region, with the first expected from tonight and the second from Saturday night. Consequently, isolated to scattered light rainfall or snowfall is very likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad till Sunday, and over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from Thursday till Sunday.

As these weather systems unfold, residents and authorities in the affected regions must stay updated on the latest forecasts and advisories issued by the IMD and take necessary precautions to mitigate any adverse impacts.
