Vet Varsity Organizes International Conference to Foster Collaboration and Inspire Breakthroughs in Dairy Engineering

Dr Inderjeet Singh, Vice-chancellor, GADVASU mentioned that the conference will provide an opportunity for the stakeholders to come together and find innovative solutions for various challenges.

The College of Dairy Science & Technology, affiliated with Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) Ludhiana is organizing an international conference on ‘Recent Advances in Engineering Applications for Sustainable Dairying’ under the aegis of Indian Dairy Engineers Association (IDEA) from October 13 to 14, 2023.

Dr Inderjeet Singh, Vice-chancellor, GADVASU mentioned that the conference will provide an opportunity for the stakeholders to come together and find innovative solutions for various challenges such as the need for sustainable farming practices, reduction of waste, and the enhancement of product quality while ensuring the economic viability of the dairy sector.

The conference will serve as a platform for experts, researchers, industry leaders, and students to come together to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences.

Dr R S Sethi, Dean, College of Dairy Science & Technology and Convener of the conference said, "The conference will have various scientific sessions that will cover a wide range of topics on industry-academia interface. He opined that the conference will foster collaboration and inspire breakthroughs in dairy engineering."

Dr Amandeep Sharma, Organizing Secretary of the conference added, "This IDEA conference is being organized for the first time in Ludhiana and during this two-day event different stakeholders of the dairy industry and dairy equipment manufacturers will participate."

He also revealed that more than 100 participants from several parts of the country as well as international speakers are expected to join the conference. R S Sodhi, President of the Indian Dairy Association (IDEA), New Delhi, and former Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul) will be the Chief Guest.

It is worth mentioning here that the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Ludhiana, is the only college in the Punjab offering, various job-oriented degree programs in dairy science and technology disciplines.
