CM Dhami said during the 'Sankalp se Parivartan ki Aur' programme in Dehradun, "Aside from promoting agriculture and horticulture, we need to pay more attention to natural farming. There is a need to focus on natural apple farming so that Uttarakhand's apples might gain unique distinction in the country and beyond the world."

On the occasion, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami acknowledged farmers who have done outstanding work in the field of apple cultivation.

"On Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the "Sankalp se Parivartan ki Aur" programme organized by Indo Dutch Horticulture and Coca-Cola India at the Wadia Institute of Geosciences, GMS Road." On this occasion, he honoured farmers who had done outstanding work in the field of apple production. Indo-Dutch Horticulture and Coca-Cola India are collaborating to boost farmer income through the Unnati Apple Scheme," according to a news release.

Dhami stated that it is critical to continue forward with determination in order to attain any goal in life. "When we resolve to achieve a goal, only change occurs." Coca-Cola India and Indo-Dutch Horticulture Technology are doing what they set out to do. The Chief Minister further stated that the state government is making special efforts to increase fruit production in the state.

"Under this, 280 crores have been granted for the construction of 18 thousand poly homes with the assistance of NABARD. A 35-crore initiative has also been launched under the Apple Mission to encourage maximum apple output. High-value crops such as kiwi, dragon fruit, and strawberries, among others, are also being pushed in the state," he added.

CM Dhami mentioned during the ceremony that he is hopeful that scientists from agriculture and horticulture universities will pay special attention to research and development for horticulture development. He went on to say that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, a large number of farmers are becoming involved with the Apple Mission. Along with Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal, Uttarakhand should develop a distinct character in apple production, with quality and packaging being prioritized.

He stated that the state's "Unnati Apple Yojana," which is being operated in conjunction with Coca-Cola India and Indo-Dutch Horticulture Technology, has produced very positive outcomes. He accomplished the labour of a thousand gardens and trained approximately forty thousand individuals as a result of this. As a result, farmer income in the state is significantly expanding," according to the press release.

Former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari stated during the ceremony that numerous schemes are being implemented for farmers and that the public plays an essential part in making such schemes succeed. "According to former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, there are numerous opportunities to work in the field of gardens in Uttarakhand." The state government is making ongoing efforts to encourage horticulture. Many programmes are in place to help farmers.

He stated that the public has a significant part in the success of the schemes. A lot of good work is being done in the state in the fields of apple, kiwi, silviculture, mushroom cultivation, and so on," it stated. Farmers who benefited from the Unnati Apple Yojana also shared their experiences during the event. Devyani Rajalakshmi Rana, Vice President of Coca-Cola India, Director Rajesh Ayapilla, and other authorities and farmers from various areas of the state were present on this occasion.
