The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services Main Examination 2024. Candidates who participated in this examination can check their results on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. The list includes roll numbers of candidates qualified for the Personality Test (Interview), which is the next stage in the recruitment process.

The recruitment drive for 2024 aims to fill 1,056 vacancies across the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Group A and B central services. The selection process began with online registrations between February 14 and March 5, 2024.

The Preliminary Exam was conducted on June 16, 2024, with the results announced on July 1, 2024. Following this, the Main Examination took place from September 20 to September 29, 2024, divided into two daily shifts: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:30 PM–5:30 PM. Candidates who successfully cleared the Mains are now prepared to take the Personality Test (Interview), which is set to begin in January 2025.

  1. Visit the UPSC website: upsc.gov.in.

  2. Click on “Civil Services (Main) Examination Result, 2024.”

  3. Download the PDF file containing the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

  4. Search for your roll number in the document and save it for reference.

What’s Next:

Qualified candidates must prepare their original documents, including certificates for age, educational qualifications, and category-specific reservations such as SC/ST/OBC/EWS or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

The Personality Tests will take place at UPSC's office in Dholpur House, New Delhi. E-Summon Letters for the interviews will be made available on the official websites, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.in. Candidates unable to access their e-Summon Letters should contact UPSC promptly through provided communication channels.

Mandatory Submission of DAF-II

All candidates must fill and submit DAF-II online via upsconline.nic.in between December 13 and December 19, 2024, by 6:00 PM. This form requires candidates to indicate their preferences for services and cadre allocations. Failure to submit DAF-II within the prescribed deadline will result in the cancellation of candidature.

Candidates vying for IAS or IPS must specify their cadre and zone preferences while filling out DAF-II. Preferences once submitted cannot be modified. It is advised to carefully review these choices as they determine final service allocation.

The mark sheets of all candidates will be uploaded on UPSC’s website within 15 days after the final results are declared, post-interviews. These will remain available for 30 days. Candidates are encouraged to stay updated through UPSC’s official portals for notifications and instructions.
