On February 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Summit, which was attended by a number of dignitaries. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi stated that if India is to be considered a bright spot, Uttar Pradesh must take the lead in driving its growth.

"Every field in the state has improved in the last 5-6 years, from electricity to connectivity. The state boasts of modern infrastructure and will soon be known as the first state in the country to have five international airports," the PM said, adding that it is being connected to the sea and the ports of Gujarat and Maharashtra via a dedicated freight corridor.

The Prime Minister stated that "new opportunities for wealth creators in the state are created every day.” Inviting investors to invest in Uttar Pradesh, the PM said that the UP government and bureaucracy have taken a determined step forward. It is with you at every step to make your (‘investors' and ‘entrepreneurs') dreams come true."

According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has received investment proposals worth Rs 32.92 lakh crores through roadshows for the Global Investors Summit 2023 and is ready to serve as the country's growth engine in accordance with the Prime Minister's vision.

Dan Jorgensen, Denmark's Global Climate Policy Minister, stated that India is emerging as the world's leading economy, with Uttar Pradesh fueling India's power.

Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari praised CM Yogi on Saturday for his efforts to improve the state's agriculture and industry, saying his vision will change people's perceptions of Uttar Pradesh. The British Government's Defence Procurement Minister, Alex Chalk Casey, announced on Sunday that the UK will invest in Uttar Pradesh's defence, aerospace, and medical sectors.

Speaking at the United Kingdom Partner Country/Defence session held in Lucknow as part of the ongoing UP Global Investors Summit 2023, Casey said, "It is a matter of pride for me to participate in GIS-23 being held in the capital Lucknow. Standing on this vast land of Uttar Pradesh and inviting the entire world to invest is a significant accomplishment in and of itself. At the same time, it is also a big achievement that we all became witnesses of this programme in a state, which is known as the 'Rice Basket'.

"If Uttar Pradesh becomes more prosperous, India will become more prosperous," President Droupadi Murmu asserted during the Valedictory session of UPGIS.

In his remarks on the occasion, CM Yogi stated that the state will be a safe haven for investment. Yogi stated that during the global investment summit, the state received investment proposals worth Rs 33.50 lakh crore.

"With this investment, 93 lakh jobs and employment will be created. Previously, investment meant only investing in the NCR. Today, investment has been received in the summit for all 75 districts of the state. Bundelkhand has received investment proposals worth Rs 9.54 lakh crore and Rs 4.28 lakh crore, respectively," he said.

"It is a matter of good fortune that on February 10, the Uttar Pradesh Global Investment Mahakumbh was given a new height by PM Modi. Under PM Modi's leadership, India's global standing has grown in the last nine years. Uttar Pradesh has also benefited from this increased prominence at the Global Investor Summit. "The global community has been drawn to Uttar Pradesh as the best investment destination," said Chief Minister.
