UP Govt Approves Setting Up of Agriculture & Technology University in Kushinagar

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Wednesday that the Uttar Pradesh government has approved the establishment of an agriculture and technology university in the Kushinagar district, which has a big stretch of fertile land.

Yogi Adityanath stated during a visit to Kushinagar to inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for 106 development projects totaling Rs 451 crore that the university will assist build an atmosphere for agricultural growth in the region.

He stated that India now imports oil worth Rs 16 lakh crore from the Middle East and that sugar mills can assist India in becoming self-sufficient in oil production through ethanol. When India reaches self-sufficiency in oil production, the money saved on import expenses will go to sugarcane farmers' accounts rather than foreign countries, he said.

"Kushinagar has witnessed major spiritual and religious events throughout history and has made substantial contributions to the economy through agriculture." Lord Shri Ram, Gautam Buddha, and Mahavir all have fond memories of this location. But no one expected the city to have an international airport or a medical school. "Today, both have become realities," the chief minister said in a statement.

Though air services have been hampered by the coronavirus pandemic, they are expected to resume shortly, with Singapore, Bangkok, Southeast Asia, Sri Lanka, and Gulf countries expressing a wish to launch flights from the airport, he said. Extending greetings on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and Ram Navami, Adityanath stated that it is the same state where money meant for development and rationing used to end up in the pockets of a few and people would not leave their homes for fear of riots during festivals and celebrations were banned by the administration.

"Now, every festival is enthusiastically celebrated. Right now, Navratri and Ramzan are taking place in peace & unity," he remarked. Adityanath emphasized that the country was progressing on the path of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, saying that 60 lakh gharaunis had been returned to their original owners in Uttar Pradesh under the PM Swamitva Yojana.

"Several reforms are being implemented in the country under the prime minister's leadership to ensure that the poor and deprived receive justice and the advantages of all welfare systems." "This is an indication of a sensitive government," Adityanath stated.

He further stated that the government was establishing family cards to ensure that the needy and deprived receive all necessary services as well as at least one employment. The chief minister stated that the PM Internship Plan and the CM Internship Scheme have been introduced to train youth in order for them to find suitable occupations.
