This announcement is significant for over 50 lakh students who appeared for the exams earlier this year and have been eagerly awaiting their results.
The UP Board 2025 examinations were conducted from February 22 to March 9, 2025, at over 8,000 exam centres across Uttar Pradesh. A total of 54,47,207 students had registered for the exams, including 29,47,311 for Class 10 and 26,99,896 for Class 12. Out of these, over 50 lakh students actually appeared for the exams.

Minimum Passing Criteria
To successfully pass the UP Board exams, students must score at least 33% in each subject, including theory and practicals. If a student fails to meet the passing marks in one or two subjects, they may be eligible to appear for compartmental examinations, which are generally held a few weeks after the main results are announced. More details regarding these supplementary exams are expected to be shared by the board after the release of results.
Result Declaration Format
The official announcement of the UP Board Result 2025 includes a state-wide pass percentage, district-wise merit statistics, subject-wise performance, and a detailed list of toppers. The board also reveals how boys and girls have performed in terms of overall success rates, highest marks, and distinctions.

While the board has not yet released this year’s pass percentages or merit lists, educational experts expect a slight improvement in overall performance due to increased digital resources, improved classroom attendance, and enhanced teacher training programs in government and private institutions. The board had implemented several measures to ensure fair and secure examination conditions, including the use of CCTV surveillance and barcoded answer sheets to prevent malpractice.

Cross-check personal details for accuracy
