The monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature began with the opposition causing disruptions over concerns related to farmers such as inflation and unpaid cane dues. Initially, there was a demonstration outside the Legislature, followed by opposition members causing commotion inside the House with placards. Speaker Satish Mahana attempted to calm the situation. The opposition managed to temporarily halt the proceedings, leading Speaker Satish Mahana to adjourn the House temporarily due to the ongoing disturbance.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a press conference before the start of the monsoon session. The CM said that success has been achieved in establishing UP as the premier state of the country. UP has emerged from the category of sick state. The CM said that the government is ready for a meaningful discussion on all the issues related to the interest of the state and the public. Ready to discuss the problem of flood and drought and its solution.
CM Yogi said that the government is ready to discuss every issue related to the state including the issue of public interest. Every issue raised by the opposition will be answered at every level. The CM said that during the last 6 years, UP has touched new heights of development under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi. Over the past 6 years, there has been a successful effort to change the perception of the state. The Chief Minister (CM) highlighted that the state's youth and citizens have overcome a crisis of identity. This has led to the positioning of Uttar Pradesh (UP) as a leading state in the country.
Notably, the opposition, particularly the Samajwadi Party, had planned to criticize the Yogi government on various issues including inflation, farmers, law and order, and caste census. Both the ruling BJP and the opposition SP held meetings with their respective legislators to strategize and present their viewpoints in the Legislature.
