Government Schemes: Women might be 'worshipped' in Indian culture as goddesses, but one just needs to look around to see how ironic and misleading this pedestal is; the cost of their marriage and dowry is so great that girls' children are frequently considered as liabilities by their own parents, relatives, and society.
Due to such societal mindset females are denied the right to an education and allow child marriage to take place in rural places, despite the fact that it is against the law in the country. To address these difficulties and promote awareness about the necessity of educating females, various central & state government schemes are devised to assist parents in educating their daughters.
There is a similar scheme run by the Rajasthan government, which can prove to be a great help in the development of the girl child. It is the Rajshree scheme under which, Rs 50,000 thousand are given to the girl child in six installments. The first installment is available at the time of birth in a government hospital and the second installment is available for one year i.e. on the first birthday. Both these installments are available for Rs 2500-2500.
