Weather Update: The climate is vehemently changing across India with the onset of the winter season. While the northern parts of India are gripping with a cold wave, southern India lashes with heavy rainfall. The weather department of India has predicted fairly widespread rain/thunderstorm with heavy falls likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh from 12th December and isolated heavy falls likely over Western Himalayan Region from 11th December in its morning bulletin. On the other hand, dense fog is very likely to hover around isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, South Assam & Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during next 24 hour, say reports.

The Cyclonic Storm 'Pawan' over the southwest Arabian Sea moved west-southwestwards with a speed of 26 kmph during the past 06 hours and lay centered at 0530 hours IST of today which is likely to intensify as a Cyclonic Storm during next 06 hours.
