"They will have intense discussions to identify the key challenges and opportunities for the growth of the Indian agri-food sector in the coming decade," a senior government official said. Agriculture (green), edible oil (yellow), dairy (white), meat and poultry (pink), and aquaculture (blue) will be covered in five subject tracks at the event.
"These sessions are being held in collaboration with the World Economic Forum-India, the Indian Vegetable Oil Producers Association (IVPA), the Indian Dairy Association, Heifer International, and the Society of Aquaculture Professionals."
The conclave will feature 27 panel discussions, five roundtable conversations, and more than 40 one-on-one sessions with government and industry officials, according to a senior organizer.
Another essential aspect that new managers are expected to embrace is technology adoption. If technology is used in agriculture, the possibilities are unlimited, ranging from data analytics and e-commerce to artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
Telangana Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao unveiled a conference brochure, saying the state made good strides in agriculture production as the government expanded irrigation facilities and established many initiatives. "The current global situation presents a one-of-a-kind set of challenges and potential opportunities."
"However, capitalizing on these opportunities for the State and country will require a concerted and calculated effort. He encouraged key stakeholders to meet and map out a clear route to capitalize on the opportunity. We intend to create such a platform through this event," he stated.
