Tata offers two different battery packs for the Tiago EV. A 3.3 kW AC charger is provided with the 19.2 kWh battery pack variants, whereas a 7.2 kW AC charger is supplied with the 24 kWh battery pack variants. The larger battery is said to have a range of 315 km, whereas the 19.2 kWh battery would give the car a range of 250 km on a single full charge. According to Tata, the car can go from 0 to 60 kmph in under 5.7 seconds.
A DC fast charger can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 57 minutes, while the 7.2 kW charger can charge it to 100% in 3 hours and 36 minutes. A touchscreen infotainment system, electric ORVMs, cruise control, push-button start/stop, leatherette seats, auto headlights, and many more features are included in the Tiago EV.
Speaking of differences in appearance from the ordinary Tiago, the Tiago EV gets new alloy wheels to help with efficiency along with a blue trim around the fog light housing, on the front grille, and around the EV badging on the front fenders. Inside, and around the AC vents, there are blue accents as well.
The Tata Tiago EV currently has no direct competitors in the Indian market. However, Citroen is prepared to introduce the C3's all-electric version in the country, competing with the Tata EV.
