Students can check their results on the following official websites:
In addition to these websites, students will also be able to access their mark sheets through the DigiLocker platform and via SMS. To download their results, students will need their registration number and date of birth.
The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has taken significant steps to ensure the smooth release of results and digital availability of marksheets, minimizing the need for physical collection and reducing crowding at schools.
Minimum Pass Marks and Evaluation Criteria
In order to pass the Class 12 board exams, students are required to secure a minimum of 35% in each subject. This includes theory as well as practical papers. For subjects that include both components, students must pass individually in each to qualify overall.
Those who fail to meet the passing criteria will be eligible to appear for the supplementary exams. The schedule and application process for these exams will be released shortly after the results are announced.
Past Performance and Expectations
In the previous academic year, Tamil Nadu witnessed a commendable performance with an overall pass percentage of 94.56%. Girls continued to outperform boys, with a pass percentage of 96.44% compared to 92.37% among boys.
Education experts and teachers expect a similar or improved performance this year, given the increased focus on digital learning tools and academic support initiatives launched by the Tamil Nadu government in recent months.
