All over India the results of the +2 had been declared and so did the different universities of India have released the final year results as well. Only the new admissions process were on hold for the session batch of 2020-2021.
On 21st October, Wednesday the Annamalai University released the B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture and B.Sc Agriculture (Self Financing) Merit list for 2020 admissions, after the university had invited applicants for admissions earlier in the months of July 20 to August 18.
In between these months the University had received approx 8, 700 applications for B.Sc Agriculture course, 1,700 applications for B.Sc Horticulture course and around 2,815 for B.Sc Agriculture (Self financing).
Out of the several applications received by the university 308 for B.Sc Agriculture, 41 for B.Sc Horticulture and around 88 applications from B.Sc Agriculture (Self Financing) were rejected.
In the presence of Registrar R. Gnanadevan, Controller of Examinations and various other Departments Head, Annamalai University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. V. Murugesan released the Rank list for all the three courses namely B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture and B.Sc Agriculture (Self Financing).
According to the University notice from October 27 to 30 online counselling will be held for all the respective courses. The same schedule will also be published in the official website of the University which is www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in.
The entire admission process is based on Merit followed by the categories and rules of Reservations of the Government of Tamil Nadu. It was made clear that no separate letter would be send to any of the selected candidates.
Also the merit list which will be released would certainly be based on the HSC or equivalent examinations marks obtained by the students in relative subject combinations.
States like West Bengal and other parts of India are still on the verge of completing their admission process. Due to the current pandemic situation various sectors have been affected till date; but the education sector had regained its balance and had tried their best to prevent the hamper of the student’s education during the lockdown.
