Actor and Producer Sonu Sood has become a real life hero once again. This time the actor has gifted a tractor to Andhra Pradesh farmer, Nageswara Rao who resides in a remote village to help him till the land. Sonu has been relentlessly helping the underprivileged who are affected by the coronavirus-induced lockdown.

The distressed farmer lives in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The actor came up with the gift idea after he saw a video clip on Twitter wherein a tomato farmer in Madanapalle in was seen ploughing the land with his two daughters carrying the yoke on their shoulders. It was then when the reel life villain, Sonu Sood promised a pair of ox to the farmer, but later after having a conversation with the farmers over phone, he said- “This family doesn’t deserve a pair of ox. They deserve a tractor. So sending you one. By evening a tractor will be ploughing your fields.''

Mr. Sood also said, Let the girls focus on their education. Farmers are pride of our country. Protect them.''

Therefore, a new tractor was delivered to the elated farmer Nageswara Rao at his Mahalrajupalle village by Sunday night itself.

N Chandrababu Naidu, Telugu Desam Party president, who belongs to Chittoor district, hailed the actor's gesture. He tweeted, “Moved by the plight of the family, I have decided to take care of the education of the two daughters and help them pursue their dreams."

Mr Rao's elder daughter has completed her Intermediate while the second daughter has cleared Class 10. The farmer used to run a tea stall in Madanapalle before covid-19 left him out of business. He returned to his native Mahalrajupalle village and took up agriculture once again.
