Farmers have to bear a lot of pain due to unprecedented weather conditions in India. Sometimes heavy rainfall and storm, sometimes drought or barren land leads to heavy crop loss. Keeping this thing in mind, government is encouraging farmers towards Solar Energy by initiating different schemes.
The registration process for the central government’s ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evemUtthanMahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) has already started in many states which aims to provide agricultural solar pumps with 90% subsidy. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana, the Department of Agriculture is installing solar systems for farmers of Uttar Pradesh. The target of installing five HP pumps has been setting up by the agriculture l department. Interested farmers can apply by contacting the DD Agricultural Office.

To get the installed solar pumps, the farmer first needs to go to the official website of Uttar Pradesh and register their name. After this the draft has to be submitted to the DD Agricultural Office. Interested farmers can directly contact to office and apply for subsidised solar pumps.
The benefit of the scheme will be given to the farmers on a first come first serve basis
As per reports, 40 percent will be Farmers' share for HP Solar Pump which cost Rs 2,36,912 lakh, but farmers need to do bank draft of 94,764.
The draft will be deposited in the DD Agricultural Office
The farmers will have to prepare a draft of 94,764 as their share to the bank and prepare six inches of boring themselves. The finished solar pump will deliver two to two and a half inches of water. The agriculture department asked the farmers not to delay for applying who want to install solar pumps.
