Sohan Lal Commodity Management (SLCM), India’s leading agri services solutions provider having operations across India and Myanmar, has been conferred with CII Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Award 2018 in the ‘Agri-warehousing category’ for the 3rd year in a row. SLCM made it to the CII Institute of Logistics shortlist for the SCALE awards for the 3rd time for driving excellence in the field of agri-supply chain and agri-warehousing in India and demonstrating their success in devising innovative technologies in agri industry consistently. Mr Ankur Jaipuria, Chief Business Officer and Ms. Varnika Kukreja, Head - Corporate Communication at SLCM received the award from Chief Guest Mr N Sivasailam, Special Secretary, Department of Logistics.
The CII SCALE Awards was instituted to encourage, acknowledge and recognize organizations that follow and succeed with best supply chain practices. These awards are considered to be one of the most coveted awards for excellence in the Supply Chain and Logistics industry and are presented to the top 3 companies in both Logistics Industry and User Industry category. Winners of the award have to undergo a tough 5 stage evaluation process and scrutiny by a jury consisting of experts in technology, business and innovation space.

As a winner in the Agri-warehousing category, SLCM has been acknowledged by this award for their innovative and scientific product handling through AGRI REACH thereby promoting an effective and futuristic supply chain and logistics solutions in the agri eco-system. The patent pending technology “AGRI REACH” can reduce post-harvest losses which are presently at 10% annually to just 0.5% irrespective of infrastructure, crop or geographic location of the crop. This has been duly accredited in a study conducted by FICCI as well. Moreover, to prove its scalability in international avenues the Group forayed into Myanmar in April 2014 and as on today SLCM Ltd. Myanmar is an independently running entity successfully curtailing the enormous post harvest losses ranging from 20-25 percent in that country.
