Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has launched the 'Union Budget Mobile App' on Saturday along with Halwa Ceremony. As per report, due to Corona transition this year, budget will be not printed on paper and apart from this economic survey will also not be done on paper.
Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present ‘the Union Budget’ on 1 February 2021. Significantly, for the first time after Independence, India is going to witness paperless budget.
Through this mobile app, common citizens and members will be able to easily access the budget documents.
Members will receive documents in electronic form as Budget printing has not been done on budget paper due to Coronavirus this year. Moreover, the economic review will be presented on the floor of the Parliament on 29 January. In such a situation, both these documents will be given in electronic form to the public this year.
What are the Features of Union Budget Mobile App?
1-'Union Budget Mobile App 'has been launched in two languages i.e. English and Hindi. This app can be used by both Android and iOS users.
2- This mobile app has all 14 budget documents. In this, information about annual financial statement, demand for grant, finance bill etc. is also given.
3- A specialty of this app is that features like downloading, printing, search, zoom in and out, external link are also added. Its interface is very user friendly. 4- After completing the budget speech by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on 1 February 2021, all the budget documents will be available on this app.
How to Download Budget Mobile App?
This app can be downloaded from the App Store. Along with this, the app can also be downloaded from the Union Budget web portal www.indiabudget.gov.in.
Budget will be presented on 1 February. As per reports, the first phase of the budget session is going to start from January 29, which will run till February 15. After this, the second budget session will run from 8 March to 8 April. The budget session will begin with the President's address and the General Budget will be presented on 1 February.
