Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday, May 26, 2025, announced major investments by Shreeja Milk Producer Company and Mother Dairy to establish new processing units in Kuppam. These initiatives are expected to create around 8,000 jobs and significantly boost the rural economy in the region.

During a meeting with representatives of both organisations, Naidu discussed their plans to establish a dairy and animal feed processing unit by Shreeja Milk Producer Company and a fruit pulp processing unit by Mother Dairy. Both companies have been allotted land in Kuppam to carry out these projects, which are slated for completion within 15 to 18 months.

These investments aim to strengthen the rural economy by directly procuring milk and horticulture produce from local farmers, thereby enhancing their income. The projects align with the Chief Minister’s vision of “Swarna Andhra” and the goal to achieve “Zero Poverty” by empowering farmers and creating sustainable livelihoods.

The announcement is part of a larger agreement signed earlier with the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA), focusing on inclusive development and industrial growth in the region.

Sharing details on social media platform X, Naidu said, “Met the representatives from the Shreeja Milk Producer Organisation and Mother Dairy in Kuppam. We discussed their transformative investment plans to achieve Zero Poverty, which aligns with our vision for Swarna Andhra. These initiatives will strengthen the rural economy by directly procuring milk and horticulture produce from farmers, enhancing their incomes.”

The government has urged both companies to complete their projects within the next 15 to 18 months.
