Shobhit Institute of Engineering and Technology, a prominent educational institution, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Afro-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) to establish a partnership between the two organizations.

The objective of this agreement is to promote collaboration in the fields of education, research, and sustainable development. The MoU was signed in a ceremony held at the university campus in the presence of Shobhit University’s Prof M. Moni and AARDO Secretary General Dr Manoj Nardeosingh.

The collaboration between the two entities will focus on various areas of mutual interest, such as knowledge exchange, joint research projects, capacity building, and resource sharing. Both organizations expressed their enthusiasm about the partnership and the significance of combining their efforts to achieve meaningful and sustainable development outcomes.

During the ceremony, AARDO secretary general Dr Manoj Nardeosingh highlighted the importance of rural and agricultural development. Rami Qtaishat acknowledged the prestige of the occasion and highlighted the potential benefits of this partnership for the 32 AARDO member countries. Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra highlighted the importance of education and global partnerships in achieving sustainable development, particularly in the fields of agriculture and agri-informatics.

In addition, Prof. Moni Madaswamy, of Shobhit University, explained that this partnership was a significant step in strengthening the relationship among AARDO member countries and the university. He stressed the potential for the transfer and replication of technologies developed in India to benefit the member countries of AARDO. Prof. Moni also highlighted the previous interactions between Shobhit University and AARDO, which included various workshops and national and international webinars, as a contributing factor in signing the MoU.
